FYI, I just updated to Genesis Framework 2.2.0-beta1 in my mariadc/ local environment, and everything is a-ok. There was only one thing which appeared after the update that wasn’t there before:
This “About” box refers to my “About” page, which is located right above it. Will check it out and make sure to remove it or at least modify it. I will be using Chrome Developer Tools to determine which element I’m dealing with so that I can make the appropriate changes. So far, no other surprises. As for functionality, totally fine. Plays nice with my plugins so far as well.
Note: Just because I have updated to a beta version of Genesis on one of my live production sites doesn’t mean that you have to. Check it out in your local development environment. If you have a live staging environment, then check it out there as well. If you happen to have a personal website where you want to see what it’s like live, then go for it. But PLEASE don’t update it on a client’s website! Wait until the stable release, and then still test it out in the local development environment you use for your client’s website before updating on their live production site.
